Rough plumbing
Rough plumbing is the first step in getting your plumbing system set up during construction. It involves installing the main pipes that carry water to your sinks, showers, toilets, and other fixtures, as well as the pipes that handle waste and drainage. At this stage, plumbers run these pipes through the walls, floors, and ceilings, but they don’t install the actual fixtures yet.
Once the rough plumbing is complete, it’s inspected to make sure everything is in the right place and working correctly. After that, the next phase is the finish plumbing, where the fixtures are installed, and everything gets connected and tested for use. Think of rough plumbing as laying the foundation for the plumbing system, setting up everything needed for the final step.
